Toon2Tango appoints Cookbook Media as exclusive North American Distributor for its original Series "HEY FUZZY YELLOW"

Claudia Scott-Hansen of Cookbook Media to represent Toon2Tango to lead strategic distribution partnerships in the region, with a focus on building franchise opportunities

Cookbook Media LLC, a premier global franchise management agency, has been appointed as North American content distributor for the kids’ series Hey Fuzzy Yellow by

Toon2Tango, the kids and family entertainment venture headed by television and movie industry experts Ulli Stoef and Jo Daris.

Claudia Scott-Hansen, Cookbook Media’s co-founder, will spearhead efforts to build broadcast partnerships in North America for this hilarious and thoroughly original new show.

The show, which is a co-production by Toon2Tango, Curiosity Ink Media, Treehouse Republic and Hotel Hungaria Animation, is currently in production, with the first 24 episodes set for 2024 and full series delivery in March 2025.

“Hey Fuzzy Yellow” (52 x 11’), is a fresh, highly original 2D animated series for kids aged 3-5, with unpredictable comedy and an entertaining, magazine-style format which supports early education concepts. Hey Fuzzy Yellow is in fact a spirited, very amusing new spin on childhood edutainment with a focus on thinking and self-expression through exploration and play, with fun and very funny original songs which won’t make parents roll their eyes.

The show was created and developed by Måns Swanberg and Toon2Tango and commissioned by the Irish public broadcaster RTÉ. It has been specially selected for funding by Creative Europe, the European Commission's flagship programme to support the culture and audio-visual sectors, and Screen Ireland, the development agency for the Irish Film Industry, which invests in talent, creativity and enterprise. Educational guidance was provided by Crandall Consulting. The show has already been acquired by Warner Bros. Discovery in Latin America.

To best reach children through the platforms they consume, the format of Hey Fuzzy Yellow is purposely created to offer stand-alone shorts suitable for multiple programming opportunities, from music videos to interactive play, from story time to absurd comedy skits.

Claudia Scott-Hansen will be attending Kidscreen Summit, the market and conference for the global children’s media industry taking place in San Diego from 4-7 February, to begin conversations with potential partners.

She states: “I love to see the faces of those watching this show for the first time, their wonder and delight, like they’re watching a stand-up set from a five-year-old comedian. All day long kids are bombarded with messages about how they should act and who they should be. Hey Fuzzy Yellow says “Enough! YOU decide who you want to be!”, giving kids the tools and confidence to try on plenty of (literal and figurative) hats, learning about our very textured world along the way.”

Jo Daris, CCO of Toon2Tango adds: “With Hey Fuzzy Yellow, we at Toon2Tango wanted to make something new, something different and a little bit crazy in the best way. Claudia understood the concept of our unique show immediately, and we were thrilled to bring her on board as a strategic distribution partner. We’ve had some great successes to date and are excited to work with her to build the brand in North America.”
